Adabiya Port President, Mr. Ahmed Gamal, has issued a directive for all inspection companies operating in winches, cranes, and supporting equipment. They are now required to obtain specific certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 for environmental compliance, and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety. These certifications must be obtained from EGAC-certified bodies.
Additionally, companies must acquire a container inspection certificate from EGAC by the end of 2023. It’s worth noting that these certifications can be sourced from alternative institutions with full IAF membership, aside from EGAC. Stay compliant to ensure smooth operations.
